The LEGO Touch concept definitely makes the iPhone even more appealing, letting you carry virtually unlimited Lego bricks in your pocket, where a cover-flow type interface enables one to go through every Lego brick imaginable, building up just about any Lego model you want simply by dragging the desired pieces around with your fingers. |
For more intricate models, you can always zoom in or out in the similar manner as you would do for a normal image on an iPhone. This is a concept at this point in time, so the final product from Play-Nyc might be different. Hopefully there will be various Lego sets to choose from - I know I would go nuts over everything Star Wars.

Acer claims that they will roll out a new concept design for a notebook PC tomorrow, with the new style touted to bring about a major change to an existing design. I suppose this new concept will see Acer’s new 16″ and 18.5″ media notebooks play a bigger role, where they will ship with widescreen 1080p displays to complement the Blu-ray drive. |
Upon hearing that, you can be sure that these new notebooks won’t be easy on your pockets, with prices starting from $1,900 upwards. High end machines are likely to carry dedicated graphics cards, top-of-the-line Intel Core 2 Duo processors and plentiful RAM. Hold on to your seats people, tomorrow ain’t too far away.

Oftentimes when you want to purchase a USB flash drive with a personalized message or name on it, you will have to make a bulk order. Pexagon does not rely on that business model, allowing you to purchase individual customized USB flash drives without taxing your wallet too hard. |
Their website allows you to select one of several designs and preview how the final product will look like on the spot before sending it to the production line. There is a total of 14 colors to choose from, with the largest memory size available standing at 8GB. I must say $52 for 8GB ain’t too bad an offer, considering how you can etch lovey-dovey messages as a present to your other half.

OLEDs might be pretty expensive at the moment, but they will soon be cheaper to manufacture as GE has developed a method to make OLEDs in a roll-to-roll manner, resulting in lowered costs that (hopefully) will be translated to the final product. |
So affordable that in theory, these low-power OLEDs could actually end up being disposable, but Greenpeace activists won’t be too happy to hear that. Anyways, this is good news since we will be able to enjoy OLED notebooks, cell phones, portable media players and a whole host of other applications not thought of yet without breaking the bank.

Panasonic’s 2008 lineup for its plasma HDTV range comprises of 5 series, with multiple screen sizes for each despite sharing identical features. Most of the models are already available, although the 800U and 850U series will only arrive at retail stores sometime this April or late May. |
The behemoths from those two series (58″ and 65″ models) will ship this July or August. A couple of entry level models will lack the coveted 1080p resolution that high definition buffs look out for, but it is not really a big loss since the benefits of this additional resolution is more often than not lost at 42″ and 50″ screen sizes. Well, that means a cheaper alternative for folks who want to achieve a balance between picture quality and price.

gogo, a service developed by AirCell will soon be made available for folks who take to the skies, enabling Internet browsing thanks to a modified version of a EVDO Revision A cellular connection that supplies a 3Mbps Internet link shared by the entire plane via WiFi connectivity. |
Since data is compressed as it is sent across the network, individual users will be able to get a theoretical connection of 2Mbps. I’ve always wondered why the plane’s captain always announce that wireless capability on your device ought to be switched off, but in this case won’t everyone’s WiFi be turned on? AirCell will charge $13 per trip for long distance flights at $10 for flights that last less than 3 hours. Access to gogo will be available first through American Airlines and Virgin America, with a wider adoption to occur over time.

KontrolFreek will soon unleash its latest gaming peripheral known as the FPS Freek to the masses. This snap-on controller will rest on the thumbstick, lengthening them so that small adjustments will translate to accurate aim on the screen while you’re engaged in your favorite FPS title. |
According to IGN Gear, the “first 20% of the range of motion is the hardest because of spring resistance, which makes small tweaks to aiming especially difficult.” There you have it - a competition legal product that has no official release date as at press time. If you think you’re already at the top of your game and figured out that current hardware is limiting your ability to improve, the FPS Freek is available for pre-order, where a couple will retail for $9.95 while purchasing a quartet costs $17.50. On top of that, you get a 20% discount.
