The Slide faucet takes a non-traditional approach to turning on the tap, as you will have to move it backward to turn it on as well as regulate its temperature. This offers a clean cut design that will not be out of place at many a modern bathroom. |
This design was created by Alain Berteau and it will go on sale next month in Milan. Pricing has yet to be announced, but like most things in Milan, it won’t come cheap. I guess you have best not soap your hand before you turn the Slide faucet on, as you’d have a hell of a time trying to do exactly just that with slippery hands.

Nokia rolls out the 6300i that offers a fully integrated VoIP client in addition to its GSM cell phone capabilities, providing you with the best of both worlds. |
Hooking up to an available wireless network is a snap, and the fact that you can make VoIP calls with this clearly encourages you to save more on your minutes and rely on VoIP instead when communicating with your close and loved ones. The 6300i can store an astounding 2,000 VoIP, home and cell numbers - more friends than you can shake a stick at. These can be listed side-by-side, while dedicated WLAN and VoIP symbols ensure you know exactly what the connection status and type of phone call is being made at the moment. No idea on how much it costs though.

Garmin has a brand new GPS system that does not target road users but pilots instead. The GPSMAP 495 helps pilots by furnishing them with the necessary information required to fly safely from start to finish, courtesy of a high resolution terrain database that features various options such as “terrain and obstacle alerting, pop-up alerts, and customizable minimum clearance limits that give audible terrain alerts at specified altitudes.” |
In addition, it also can relay information about regional taxiways and airports. The GPSMAP 495 will be made available for purchase from early next month onwards, retailing for $1,595 thereabouts.
