Valvalo Lighter Spy Camera

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008 | Cameras with No Comments »

Capture all those hilarious and odd moments on tape with the discreet lighter spy camera. It not only serves a purpose of a spy cam but it also doubles up as a webcam. Additional features include: 8MB of internal memory, image resolution of 1,280 x 960, and is powered by a single AAA battery, and USB drive. The best part is it doesn’t contain a flash so you can take photos quietly as well as out of sight and out of mind from your worst enemies. Hopefully you can put those incriminating photos on your Flickr after you’re done.

I like to think that the idea behind the Eazzzy digital camera concept came about somewhere along the intersection of Make-it-Small and Make-it-USB. It claims itself to be the simplest digital camera around.Eazzzy USB Digital Camera

Hitachi releasing new Blu-Ray/HDD camcorder DZ-BD9H

Friday, January 25th, 2008 | Cameras with No Comments »

This camera can record on one of three things, the 60GB hard drive, an 8 centimeter Blu-Ray disc, or an 8cm DVD. Sadly the resolutions and bit rates get so high that about 720×480, the camera’s lowest setting, DVD isn’t even an option, and even at that lowest setting, you only get 20-30 minutes of recording on a DVD.

This camera straps on your wrist, and can take a hell of a beating from there. It will work for up to 30 meters under water and is also shock proof. It can take up to 3MP stills and can do 54 minutes of video (I’d guess in VGA resolution, maybe a little better).

Sony A300 rumor-saga continues with full camera photos

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 | Cameras with No Comments »

After the speculation on Sony’s possible prepping of a prosumer digital-SLR at around the $1k price-point, tentatively predicted to be the A300, these photos of the full camera have been dug up from the Xitek forum. There are no other details - and the camera isn’t labelled with a model number, although it’s definitely part of Sony’s Alpha range - but it definitely looks to be a derivative of the A200’s design.

An alternative theory currently being thrashed out on the dyxum forum is that this could in fact be the A200 Ultra, a slightly upgraded version of the A200 but not a completely fresh model.

We’ll bring you any more information as soon as we get it.
