Using a notebook on your lap for hours on end isn’t the most comfortable feeling in the world as any notebook owner can tell you, which is why a cooling pad is always seen to be a lifesaver. The only beef I have with such cooling pads is many of them require to be plugged into your notebook’s USB port, which means even more power is drained - a big no-no if you’re always up and about, far away from the nearest power outlet.
